Cannot start IP Multiviewer config

If nothing happens when starting “Multiviewer-Configuration”, and no icons appears in the Windows system tray.

  • go to C:\IPMultiviewer\bin\log
  • look for YYYY-MM-DD [Multiviewer-Config].log with todays date in filename
  • check if there is line that says: [ER] Unable to start http server: Could not bind socket. (Unit1#121)

If you found such line, then some other application may use the default port for web interface of IP Multiviewer, and this is why it can’t start. Default port number used by IP Multiviewer is 80. See if you can reconfigure other app to make port 80 free. If not, you may reconfigure IPMultiviewer.

  • With text editor open c:\SMIPMultiviewer\config.ini
  • add this section:
[webserver]
port=XXXX

where XXXX is the port number that is not in use by any other application.

No Video is displayed, red X sign is displayed in the middle of the box

  • Make sure Windows Firewall is not blocking incoming traffic

2. check CPU and GPU use – summary is displayed at the top of the Configuration webpage. Click it to display more information. It’s recommended to keep GPU load under 90%, and CPU and memory load under 75%
