Each SML Server can be licensed for any number of recording and non-recording stations.

Recording station

Recording station is a station that is:

• configured to capture incoming signal
• is started and records

In config window, recording stations are marked green and labeled „recording” or marked blue and labeled “paused” if the station is currently „paused”.

Non-recording station

A non recording station only allows for playback & export of its archive. It can be:

• a previously “recording” station that has been stopped
• a station with input source set to „None” using a pre-recorded archive

In config window, non-recording stations are marked gray with label „halted” or „disabled” Use non-recording stations to make recordings archived on different drives or network shares, available in SML (web)Players.

 

The number of recording and non-recording stations is limited by your license.
